Beef stir-fry

Ingredients

  • 1 Clove Garlic minced
  • 1/2 ounce Ginger minced
  • 10 ounces Green Beans
  • 3 ounces Sweet pepper Sliced
  • 10 Ounces Inside round steak
  • 1 cup Brown rice
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Rice wine vinegar
  • 3 ounces Soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Prep:
  2. Bring a medium pot of water to a boil over high heat.
  3. Mince garlic and ginger.
  4. Rinse green beans and trim ends.
  5. Rinse sweet peppers, remove seeds and slice crosswise.
  6. Pat steak dry with paper towel.
  7. Instructions:
  8. Add salt to boiling pot of water.
  9. Stir in rice and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
  10. Drain and set aside once cooked.
  11. While rice cooks, heat 1/2 of sesame oil in a large pan over medium high heat.
  12. Season steak all over with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper as desired.
  13. When oil is shimmering, add steak and sear until just browned on outside, about 1 minute per side.
  14. Remove from pan and set aside to rest for about 5 minutes.
  15. Wipe pan clean and add remaining sesame oil over medium high heat.
  16. When oily shimmering, add garlic, ginger, green beans, and sweet peppers and cook, stirring, until softening, about five minutes.
  17. Meanwhile, was together oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, and soy sauce and a small bowl to make stirfry sauce.
  18. Cut steak against the grain into 1/4 inch slices and add to pan with vegetables over medium heat along with stirfry sauce.
  19. Cook, stirring, until steak is medium rare and sauce is thickened about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove pan from heat tasting at salt-and-pepper as needed.
  20. Top rice with stirfry and enjoy.
