Beef stir-fry
Ingredients
- 1 Clove Garlic minced
- 1/2 ounce Ginger minced
- 10 ounces Green Beans
- 3 ounces Sweet pepper Sliced
- 10 Ounces Inside round steak
- 1 cup Brown rice
- 2 1/2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 3 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Rice wine vinegar
- 3 ounces Soy sauce
Instructions
- Prep:
- Bring a medium pot of water to a boil over high heat.
- Mince garlic and ginger.
- Rinse green beans and trim ends.
- Rinse sweet peppers, remove seeds and slice crosswise.
- Pat steak dry with paper towel.
- Instructions:
- Add salt to boiling pot of water.
- Stir in rice and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Drain and set aside once cooked.
- While rice cooks, heat 1/2 of sesame oil in a large pan over medium high heat.
- Season steak all over with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper as desired.
- When oil is shimmering, add steak and sear until just browned on outside, about 1 minute per side.
- Remove from pan and set aside to rest for about 5 minutes.
- Wipe pan clean and add remaining sesame oil over medium high heat.
- When oily shimmering, add garlic, ginger, green beans, and sweet peppers and cook, stirring, until softening, about five minutes.
- Meanwhile, was together oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, and soy sauce and a small bowl to make stirfry sauce.
- Cut steak against the grain into 1/4 inch slices and add to pan with vegetables over medium heat along with stirfry sauce.
- Cook, stirring, until steak is medium rare and sauce is thickened about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove pan from heat tasting at salt-and-pepper as needed.
- Top rice with stirfry and enjoy.
