Beef gravy

Ingredients

  • Roux
  • 5 tablespoons Butter
  • 8 tablespoons Flour
  • 3 tablespoons drippings Or 2 teaspoons Better Than Bouillion Beef
  • Spices
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons Garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • Broth
  • 4 cups Beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup Red wine
  • 1 1/2 cup Cream

Instructions

  1. Combine spices in a bowl, set aside
  2. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat
  3. Whisk in flour until smooth
  4. Cook until golden
  5. Add spices
  6. Whisk in Woresterhire sauce
  7. Cook for another minute
  8. Slowly whisk in beef stock
  9. Add red wine
  10. Whisk in cream
  11. Simmer for 5 minutes stirring constantly until desired consistency
