Broccoli and beef stir fry

Ingredients

  • 2 - broccoli florets
  • 3/4 lb. - beef cut into 2 inch strips (round steak or what
  • 4 Tbsp. - soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. - oyster sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. - brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. - garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. - ground ginger
  • 1/3 cup - water
  • 1 Tbsp. - corn starch
  • 2 Tbsp. - vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Combine in a medium bowl water and corn starch until well blended, add all soy and oyster sauce, sugar, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
  2. Put a wok on high heat add oil once it’s reached a hot temperature. Place meat in and let brown on both sides then toss frequently until cooked through. Remove from wok into a large bowl for later.
  3. Toss broccoli in the wok for about 4 minutes. Add oil first if you need more. Return the beef to the wok and add the sauce (stir sauce again before pouring in). Mix everything well for another 2-3 minutes until well coated.
  4. Serve over steamed rice.
